Senior Operations Manager (Rooms Division)
Are you an established, highly driven and motivated leader who through effective management of departmental managers can ensure the delivery of an exceptional level of service at every touch point in our guest journey, including the presentation, welcome and cleanliness of both Scarlet and Bedruthan hotels.
As one of our senior managers you will help create an authentic place where people want to be. Working across both hotels you will be a supportive and inspirational leader who will nurture and coach our front of house and housekeeping managers, their teams, be present and accessible.
We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager with specific responsibility for the rooms side of the business to join our management team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring our stage is always set and looking spectacular, our guests are met with warmth and friendliness, their experience is full of joyful memories
- Execution of a clear, consistent and adaptable operating plan for the housekeeping and front of house teams that values each individual’s contributions.
- Focusing on sustainable practices to protect the business for the next generation
- Work with our senior leaders across our business so it flourishes and all our people can contribute & celebrate this success.
- Coordinating your time effectively so our people appreciate the value of every interaction, and our guests appreciate your energy and passion.
- Ensuring the Rooms side of the businesses operate safely.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- 2 years’ experience in a role where direct reports were department managers at a minimum 4* standard hotel with at least 50 bedrooms
- At least 4 years progressive experience in a reception role and housekeeping roles within a hotel setting
- Sound English both spoken and written
- Demonstrated literacy, numeracy, and attention to detail
- The ability to manage priorities and time using excellent organisation skills
- The initiative to seek solutions for proactively solving problems
- A passion for developing people around them to succeed together
- Knowledge of booking and managements systems
