What do we want? We’re looking for a talented and passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team in Cornwall. You’ll play a key role across our two restaurants and in-house bakery, preparing and presenting high-quality dishes and pastries that delight our guests. If you have a keen eye for detail, love working in a team, and are excited by a fast-paced, hands-on role, this is the role for you.
Hours of work are 45 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, with a mix of early and evening shifts.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Produce high-quality dishes consistently across all sections of the kitchen
Work flexibly across different sections – Sauce, Ogo (adult dining), Plant Fish & Grill (family dining), Breakfast & Pastry
Assist in developing and testing new recipes and seasonal menu items
Ensure daily mise en place is completed efficiently and to the required standard
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization, in line with food hygiene regulations
Train and supervise Commis Chefs and apprentices in your section
Collaborate with the team to manage production for retail and in-house needs
Monitor stock and assist with ordering and inventory control
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a hotel or restaurant
Relevant culinary or pastry qualifications preferred
Strong knowledge of classic cooking techniques

Flexibility to work across shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
